I know that the holidays are especially difficult for some people due to many reasons whether it’s death, grief, sadness, sickness, or whatever the case may be.
Sometimes, people to reach out to a friend, family member, or neighbor, but they may not know how to do that without coming off as offensive or intrusive. On the other hand, the very people you want to reach out to may not know how to ask for the help they need, so here are a few ideas:
Of course, you can add your own ideas. Like, say a neighbor needs their lawn cut and you are cutting yours… go ‘head and cut theirs as well. I’m sure they would appreciate the help and that’s one less thing they have to worry about for a couple weeks.
Or if you’re going to walk your dog, sure your neighbor’s dog would like to take a walk too. You know your dog and your neighbor’s dog are besties! Go ‘head and take them together.
I say all that to say this: It never hurts to be friendly, kind, and supportive. Reach out to someone who is having a tough time. We all go through tough times in life. Nobody is exempt from that.
However, being a person that helps another person out when they are going through tough times, that’s what life is about. ❤
