Ladies… we’ve got to continue to speak up and be heard.

If you don’t do it, who will? I mean, yes, there are advocates and others who will speak up for you, but it’s up to you to ensure that people are treating you right.

That’s called boundaries!!

You have to ensure that those boundaries you’re setting are maintained, respected, and continually updated to hold YOU in the highest regard.

That’s not selfish, it’s called self-care. Yes, setting boundaries is a form of self-care. 

You are human like anyone else. You have the right to tell people how they should treat you. If they don’t like it, they know where the door is…

Your Rights:

  • You have the right to tell someone what you expect from them.
  • giphyYou have the right to tell someone what you will and will not tolerate.
  • You have the right to tell someone what you can give in that friend, romantic, business space.
  • You have the right to say NO. That is a full sentence, see… NO
  • You have the right to stay in and get some rest.
  • You have the right to voice your concerns when someone oversteps your boundaries.
  • You have the right to protect yourself, energy, and space from negative and toxic people. Yes, even if they are family members.
  • You have the right to say NO!
  • You have the right to be yourself.
  • You have the right to be what you want to be when you grow up.
  • You have the right to love who you want to love.
  • You have the right to make your own choices, if you are over the age of 18.
  • You have the right to say NO
  • You have the right to wear what you want to wear. 
  • You have the right to take a break sometimes.
  • You have the right to enjoy life.
  • You have the right to walk away if something no longer works for you.

Word of Advice:

If those people can’t respect your boundaries, then they don’t respect you. When people show you who they are… believe them!!

There are good benefits that come from setting boundaries, and to be honest, you do have to teach some people how to treat you.

If you don’t, they will walk all over you. Nobody wants or deserves that! So, set some boundaries. Take care of yourselves. Make sure to love on yourselves a little more this week.
