Death by poison. It’s very possible. I mean, how many times have we heard that someone tried to cash in on a life insurance policy or someone tried to get revenge by using arsenic to kill them? Plenty of times.

While it was very useful in the olden times. Take the HBO hit show, Game of Thrones, for example. Many people from King Joffrey Lannister to Lady Olenna Tyrell were killed using poison. So, it really hasn’t lost its sneaky luster… even today.

A woman tried to poison her boyfriend with Drano by telling him it was medicine. The article doesn’t explain why the woman wanted her boyfriend dead, but we can assume he did something to upset her. Article here.

Elle Weissman, 43-years-old

Story Recap:

A woman, Elle Weissman, wanted her boyfriend to go into an “eternal sleep.” In order to accomplish her goal, she told him that a cup of Drano was really a dose of medicine so that he would drink it without asking questions.

Her boyfriend, a 50-year-old man, went to a nearby hospital in Salt Lake City and was treated for symptoms related to poisoning, according to ABC News.

Weissman admitted to the medical staff that she tricked her boyfriend into drinking the Drano, which is usually used for cleaning a drain.

The police were called and Weissman was read her Miranda rights. After that, she again admitted that she gave her boyfriend Drano knowing that it would kill him, according to ABC News.

According to ABC News, “Weissman was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail for attempted murder and surreptitious administration of a certain substance. She was being held on $100,000 bond as of Friday morning.”

Her boyfriend is still in the hospital.

A Rant in my Spirit

downloadWhile I don’t know why she did this, it was dumb to admit it to medical staff and again to the police. I mean, let them work a little bit. 🤦🏾‍♀️

I think she really didn’t care about the consequences that she would face. I mean, attempted murder is hella serious, so what was her angle? Her end game?

I am glad that her boyfriend got help, but I wonder what happened that tipped him off that something was wrong and how did he get to the hospital? 🤨🤨 Did she hide the Drano in coffee? Juice? Lemonade?

Or did he just take the cup of Drano thinking it was really his medicine without questioning her? Was his nose stuffy? How could he not smell it? Had there been previous incidents of DV in their relationship?

It’s unfortunate that the story doesn’t have more details b/c I want to know what prompted this. Was it a cult? Voices in her head? Did he cheat? Is he secretly rich and she found out?

What would she gain from doing this? 🤔🤔

I mean, I got questions‼ 🙋🏾‍♀️

A Word of Advice

While there won’t be a “next time” in real life, next time use some common sense…

I don’t know how you got your boyfriend to even drink this stuff, but you could have done more thinking before acting.

Oh, well… I think you are where you belong b/c nobody should be able to push you this far, to think of killing them and actually doing it.

Whatever help you need while serving time, I hope you get it. ✌🏾
